Taster session of Carers Centre groups

11.45am to 12.45pm

This workshop will provide an overview of the services provided by The Carers Centre. It will also include a taster session of the Together We Care Group for parents/carers of children and young people under 25 with special educational needs and disabilities. The focus of the taster session will be on writing social stories.

A brief presentation of the Behaviour Inclusion Service: What We Do, - About us, how we were commissioned, who we can help, who we are, who can refer, our criteria and your questions.

Making the most of your EHC plan

5.30pm to 6.45pm

The presentation will discuss the content and wording of a good EHCP, the process of trying to secure this content, the appeal and mediation rights against an EHCP and the enforceability of provision within a plan. The talk will also consider the difference between Elective Home Education (EHE) and education otherwise than at school (EOTAS) and how EOTAS provision can be incorporated into an EHCP.
