Transition from Children’s to Adults Community health services – a focus group

A session to gather feedback from parents / carers of young people with SEND about the Transitions process at 19 years / adulthood and more specifically to look at current perceptions of transfer of health services in the community.

What if you could access high quality videos all about well known children's books made accessible to children with speech, language and communication needs? What if those videos were designed entirely around those children - in structure, in layout, even with communication symbols to support the meaning? What if those videos were completely free?

11.45am to 12.45pm

A question and answer session on health checks for 14 years upwards who people of who have learning disabilities

Big Mouth Forum Education and Housing Live meeting

4.15pm to 5.15pm

A live meeting with Directors from education and social care, Cllrs responsible for education and housing and Heads of Service for SEND. It will be an opportunity for the young people to share their messages to managers and for the young people to ask questions to councillors, directors etc. Young People and Parents will be able to listen to the conversations and discussions and at the end of the meeting the parents and young people can ask forum members what its like to be a forum member, roles and responsibilities of forum members etc
