You can keep your children moving while schools out at your local children, young people and family centre by taking part in our wild world hero themed Get Up and Go activities and challenges.
There will be skipping, ball games, target practice, music and movement as well as an Olympic challenge. The great news is everything is low cost or free of charge.

There are some beautiful parts of Leicester so why not go on an adventure to explore your local surroundings. Choose How You Move Leicester has over 200 routes for you to choose from, many are family friendly.

Get on your bike
There are lots of family friendly cycling routes in the city, but here’s a selection from British cycling. Choose How You Move Leicester also have lots of cycle maps too. There’s no better time to get on your bike and explore.

- Scavenger hunt - go for a ride in your neighbourhood and see how many of these objects you can spot.
- Cylcing obstacle game - set up your own course.
National Playday
Leicester’s Playday is back and set to take place at Town Hall Square on Wednesday 4 August, 11am – 3pm. No need to book, just come along and join in the fun and games.
Due to COVID-19 numbers in Town Hall Square will be limited and play time will be set to 30-minute time slots.
